June 13, 1804
The first time they saw this masked face bandit was near the Charition River Missouri. This Raccoon is seen all around the U.S. except for portions of the Rocky Mountains. It is gray and brown with much black. It has a face with a black mask outlined in white. Tail bushy with four to six alternating black-brown or grayish rings.

Date??? Place??? If it is 1804, what is Nevada? . . . Arizona? . . . Utah? . . . Great description. Just make sure you use language that shows you are there, not observing from afar or from a book or from a webpage.
